This is a fantastic role for a Head of Tax, reporting into the Group FD, based in Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all tax compliance, reporting and advisory matters as well as tax planning and ad hoc projects. Combining real estate, technology and other operating activities, the Group will give you exposure to a number of industry sectors and consequently you'll be responsible for compliance and reporting across various areas.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparation of all corporate income tax and non resident landlord tax calculations and returns (with support from external professional services firm)
* Sufficient knowledge of UK VAT legislation to enable a thorough review of VAT returns, ensuring VAT groups are established as required and land interests are opted to tax as appropriate
* Preparation of annual PSA returns and P11Ds
* Oversight and review of capital allowance claims with guidance/ support provided by external experts as required
* Review of Construction Industry Scheme returns
* Management of the corporate and income tax position by identifying and recommending possible actions to ensure the most optimal tax outcome
* Lead the tax aspects of forecasting and budgeting including ETR and cash tax
* Key contact with HMRC for dealing with all correspondents, information requests and inspections
* Provide tax technical support for ad hoc projects including asset acquisitions and disposals, corporate transactions and restructuring, and entity rationalisation initiatives

Key Requirements:

* Qualified ACA/ CTA
* Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax and an awareness of tax issues/ compliance specific to real estate
* Experience of dealing with HMRC and resolving tax enquiries and information requests
* Understanding of transfer pricing concepts and documentation
* Familiarity with preparing corporate and deferred tax disclosures in accordance with IFRS
* Exposure to large/ off-shore corporate structures and with an understanding of tax residency requirements
* Experience of tax M&A work/ tax diligence
