Reach International is working with this Global Accountancy firm to appoint a number of VAT / GST specialists to its Indirect Tax team based in Singapore. As a result of growth, multiple openings are available at Assistant Manager, Manager and Senior Manager levels, with excellent career progression opportunities moving forward.
This firm's Indirect Tax team specialises in advising clients on the impact that GST and customs duty have on transactions. Their dedicated team has a wealth of experience in dealing with a broad range of industries, from local businesses to multinational companies. They have an excellent network of specialists and can provide expert advice on transactions around the world. In all cases, their focus is on minimising the exposure to indirect tax and ensuring compliance with the indirect tax regimes.
This firm also very successfully runs workshops tailored to meet the specific needs of individual businesses, and identify GST exposures as part of due diligence assignments.
The Role
You will join the firm's team of dedicated GST Professionals, providing GST advisory and compliance services to their clients. Liaising with clients, IRAS officers as well as colleagues from their overseas offices, you should be prepared to work in a challenging area of tax, dealing with issues ranging from routine compliance matters to complex cross-border transactions, with enthusiasm and motivation to succeed.
There is also opportunities for candidates to join the firm's team of dedicated customs and international trade specialists, providing advice to local, regional and global clients on customs and trade compliance issues.
The Candidate
* An accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential
* You will come from either a Practice / accountancy firm background, legal background or from within the public or private sectors
* Assistant Managers will have 3+ years experience in VAT / GST
* Managers will have 5+ years VAT / GST experience
* Senior Managers will have 7+ years VAT / GST experience
* Managers and Senior Managers will have a track record in Man-management
