In conjunction with the Director of Taxation and other members of the tax team, you will manage and organise an effective tax compliance and planning function, overseeing the tax affairs and wider interests of key clients.В
Key duties;

Compliance 60%
Prepare and/or review corporation and income tax annual returns, claims and elections
Deal with tax authority enquiries, liaising with external advisors where necessary
Review compliance for key clients and their investment schemes
Assist with year end reporting for tax provisions in consolidated and individual statutory accounts
Ensure appropriate filings for offshore funds
Oversee outsourced tax compliance for a number of UK and overseas entities.
Deal with enquiries from HM Revenue & Customs.

Provide tax related advice to key clients andВ funds
Provide tax technical and project support for ad hoc corporate or fund projects (to include UK and offshore funds) to encompass direct and indirect taxesВ
Advise from time to time on employee taxes.
Manage work undertaken by external advisors in connection with specific projects such as pension scheme EU related tax claims and associated litigation.
Advise on acquisitions and disposals.

Key skills;
Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA) or equivalent
Accounting experience (preferably holding an accounting qualification)
Experience and knowledge of the financial services sector, ideally asset/fund management
