Following as period of continued growth in established and new markets a new role has been created; Senior Advisor Tax Projects.
The Role
In summary the position will be responsible for managing, designing and implementing the Tax aspects of a new system for the group.
More specifically the Senior Advisor for Tax Projects will be involved in:
• Representing the tax department on IT and systems projects to ensure the tax team’s requirements are included in the scope, design and build of all new IT projects;
• Providing support to IT project teams on tax aspects of design and build of systems;
• Acting as lead tax liaison on all IT and systems projects, including attending update meetings and explaining tax rules and concepts to business analysts;
• Designing and implementing tax logic and processes in trade capture platforms
• Assessing, analysing and managing tax risks associated with automated systems and compliance processes;
• Resolving problems caused by system errors and limitations as advised by IT, including implementation of tax compliance procedure workarounds ;
• Designing and testing indirect tax/VAT reports to fulfil the Group’s tax compliance and reporting requirements;
• Implementing new compliance procedures as a result of IT change, for example VAT compliance and reporting processes;
• Assisting other areas of the Tax team with systems set-up and training;
• Providing ad hoc advice to the Group companies on tax set-up in IT processes and systems;
• Providing ad hoc advice to the Tax Compliance and Reporting team, Accounts Payable and Settlements.
• Assisting the Head of Tax Projects & Compliance, the Head of Tax Advisory and Planning and other areas of the team on projects and activities as required.
The Candidate
• ACA/CTA trained or hold an equivalent qualification
• Ideally you will have project based experience in ERP systems in a global organisation
• Experience of Tax IT matter from an Indirect Tax perspective would be useful as well
• Be able to operate in high changeable and dynamic business managing multiple stakeholders
The Package
£60,000 - £80,000 plus bonus and an excellent benefits package.
