This is a key position in the global development of this large US multinational. Reporting to the Eastern Hemisphere Tax Director, this position looks after all the day-to-day tax management of its Russian entities. This will include tax planning, tax advice & contract reviews, tax audits, as well as reviewing tax accounting & tax reporting under US GAAP. There will be plenty of contact with the Russian Tax Authorities and so good knowledge of Russian tax law is needed.
The Regional Tax Manager (Senior Manager or Director level) will be based in Moscow and there is scope to increase country portfolio & look after other countries, depending on the experience of the chosen candidate.
The long term focus of this position is on tax planning, tax structuring & M&A, day-to-day tax advice and contract reviews. At the outset, the first major project is to work closely with the finance staff to sort out & set up strong tax accounting and reporting procedures under US GAAP. There will be plenty of contact with the Russian Tax Authorities during tax audits and so previous experience in this area is important.
The company is growing rapidly in the region so there will be ample involvement in M&A as the market continues to improve.
