Manager, Taxation
As an integral member of the Taxation Department, you will be responsible for providing support to the Director, Taxation for on-going tax matters relating to Catalyst Paper’s Canadian operations.
In your role as Manager, Taxation, you will work independently to prioritize a demanding workload and will be accountable for:
• preparing income and commodity tax returns and foreign reporting forms;
• ensuring financial reporting requirements are met, including preparing detailed tax provision calculations and other ad-hoc requests relating to tax accounting;
• providing on-going tax advice to our mill operations;
• supporting the Director, Taxation in completing government tax audits;
• assisting with strategic initiatives.
A self-starter, you have your accounting or tax designation and, preferably, completion of the CICA In-Depth tax course. A thorough knowledge of federal and provincial tax regulations and strong research and analytical skills would solidify your success in this role, as would your ability to manage multiple priorities.
