A genuinely exciting opportunity exists for a forward thinking tax professional to join this fast growing and unique company with global aspirations that are already starting to be realised.
Bringing tax in-house for the first time, on a temp to perm basis, your key accountabilities from an advisory perspective will be to:-
* Work with the Head of Finance and management teams to identify, assess and facilitate tax improvement opportunities, including the integration of acquisitions and evaluating new M&A opportunities
* Undertake a thorough review of the Group's legal and tax structure and propose changes to optimise the use of tax losses
* Deliver a fully considered proposal to migrate the IPR, currently held in a UK company, into a more favourable tax jurisdiction
* Provide advice and written specifications to the billing teams to ensure that all sales and similar taxes are properly structured to address post and pre pay revenues in all countries
* Provide advice on PAYE / expatriate issues as required
* Develop a transfer pricing policy
From a compliance perspective, you will be required to:-
* Take primary control of all corporation tax computations for all subsidiaries
* Undertake a review of the R&D tax credit submission for Mar 09 and start the preparation of the Mar 10 submission
* Ensure that all VAT, US State and Federal Sales Taxes, including Universal Service Fees and GST submissions are filed accurately and timely
* Develop processes to identify and pre-empt all statutory issues arising from the Group's continual expansion into additional territories
Ideal candidates will be qualified tax professionals, ideally with a Big 4 background. You will be at Manager to Senior Manager Grade and have had exposure to an in-house environment. Start-up experience will be a distinct advantage.
