Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller; you will be in charge of managing the group's global tax affairs and advising overseas Finance Teams on tax risks and Group policy.
About the role:
Monitor compliance with, and tax risks arising from, recently implemented global tax and transfer pricing restructuring programme
Manage and advise on all tax matters (using external advisors as necessary) in other non-UK territories, particularly across Asia
Ensure all tax accounting entries are complete, accurate and timely within both the group and individual entity accounts - for both management and statutory accounting purposes
Minimise tax burden on repatriation of cash from overseas operations
Management of indirect taxes - minimising customs, sales taxes, with-holding and all other tax consequences of routine trading activities
Advise on tax consequences of employee remuneration and incentive schemes, including equity based scheme
Minimise tax consequences of shareholders distributions including dividend distributions and share buy
backs
Minimise tax consequences of fundraising and financing activities
Minimise tax consequences of treasury activities including currency, interest, and commodities hedging
Advise on and minimise tax consequences of mergers, acquisitions and disposals
Ensure compliance with all UK and overseas tax requirements.
About you:
ACA qualified or equivalent
CTA qualified of equivalent
UK tax training and experience
Experienced with international tax planning (ideally Asia) and transfer pricing
Full and up to date understanding required of IFRS.
