A rare opportunity has arisen for a very experienced commercial tax manager with strong leadership & people-management skills to be responsible for tax strategy, ensuring all business across the EMEA Region are structured efficiently.
Key responsibilities will include tax planning & strategy, leading & developing a very large (and geographically spread) tax team and promoting a positive working relationship with governments & fiscal authorities.
To meet the challenge of this role, you will be a qualified tax professional (probably at Tax Director or Head / Deputy Head of Tax level) with extensive international / cross-border tax experience, gained within a global commercial organisation. This experience must include US tax, FAS 109 and SOX. It is essential that you demonstrate strong competencies in leading & coaching a team of tax professionals located throughout Europe. You must be self-motivated and able to think strategically and deliver results. Additionally, you must possess strong interpersonal & communication skills to successfully maintain positive relationships with the businesses, staff at all levels, plus external bodies & advisers.
You must speak fluent English. Additional European languages would be a definite advantage.
