A leading international accounting firm is seeking a qualified Tax Senior Manager – Corporate and International Tax to join their expanding Middle Eastern presence.
This opportunity will be based in Cairo, Egypt and is for an initial period of three years with the view to possibly extend thereafter.
The role is partly flexible, but you will need to have sound and proven experience of corporate and international tax and be able to work closely with colleagues at Director and Partner level.
This role will encompass all areas of corporate tax including planning and leading engagements, structuring corporate investments, developing acquisition strategies and tax compliance.
You will be expected to take relevant tax ideas to clients to grow the practice, build relationships at a senior level and be seen as a trusted business advisor.
The role will also encompass participation in development and training programs, proactively mentoring and coaching of team members and create a learning environment through clear leadership.
Progression to interview stage will require you to have a recognized degree and post degree qualification (ACA/ ACCA / CTA or similar). Your previous experience will have been gained within a professional accounting practice, ideally within the Big 4.
You will already have gained experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership.
You will have previous experience in business development and have the ability to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving.
You will also have proven experience of international tax treaties and cross border transactions. Transfer pricing experience is advantageous.
You will ideally have a European passport or similar, enabling you to work in Egypt for a minimum period of three years without restrictions.
Good communication skills in English are required, in addition Arabic language skills will beneficial.
The role offers and excellent package, including a basic salary of USD $120,000 up to USD $150,000, you will also be entitled to housing allowance, further benefits to be discussed with relevant candidates.
