As a Manager in our Private Company Services Group, your client assignments will include a combination of review and compilation engagements. In addition you will be an integral part of PricewaterhouseCoopers' role as a trusted business advisor, dealing with multiple issues ranging from corporate financing to tax planning.
As a Manager you would be responsible for:
Planning the engagement, which includes:
- Conducting and reviewing research in order to have an in-depth understanding of a client's industry and business;
- Meeting with the client to determine expectations, issues and concerns;
- Reviewing the engagement approach, related procedures and staff requirements;
Managing the engagement, which includes:
- Ensuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with our prescribed standards;
- Managing staff and providing timely feedback throughout the engagement as well as formal performance reviews upon completion of the engagement;
- Managing interpersonal relations and building the morale of the team;
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff;
- Proactively providing business solutions and recommendations that reflect a thorough understanding of industry issues, client strategy and client culture;
- Continuously communicating with the Partner with respect to engagement progress - risks, issues, variances from plan in terms of time, budget, etc;
- Preparing and collecting billings on a timely basis;
- Preparing reports and other client communication for review with senior staff; and
- Personal and corporate tax returns, T4's, T5's and other tax information returns and related correspondence.
Completing the engagement, which includes:
- Establishing and strengthening relationships with your clients to ensure client satisfaction both during and between the engagement; and
- Identifying potential opportunities to provide additional services to your clients.
Experience Required
Minimum of five years experience working with owner managed businesses in a public accounting firm or relevant industry role.
Education Required
Degree plus CA (or equivalent), CGA or CMA designation required.
